"Nick"

My best buddy is gone. Nick, my German Shepherd, died suddenly September 24, 2006. I was glad that I was home when he passed on. It was quick and he didn't appear to suffer. Nick had  several medical problems in the past but was one tuff boy and pulled through each time. Nick used to love to play with Shasta, who I adopted in 2005 from German Shepherd Rescue of Sacramento Valley (see below).

I adopted Nick from the local animal shelter when he was one and a half years old. He loved to go for walks on the ranch and especially to go swimming. He also loved to come along with me when I fed the cows during the winter here in Volcano. I will miss my best buddy.
